As 2014 comes to a close, we’re looking back at some of our favorite designer installations via Instagram. It’s been a year filled with Greek Fret, Grosgrain and Gala. From show-stopping showhouses to photos celebrating install days, you’ve made us part of your designs, and your posts, you’ve allowed us to share with our followers and for all of this, we thank you.
As we approach the New Year, we would like to take this opportunity to remind our customers how much we appreciate your business and friendship, and how much it means to see our products shared across so many social platforms.
We’re grateful to Chicago-based interior designer Kent Allen Kiesey for sharing this glimpse of his recently completed bedroom project, one with a rich history. Now trimmed in tassels and fringe from our Normandy Collection, in its former life this bed was owned by the fifth President of the United States, James Monroe. The bed is now part of a private collection in Virginia.
Chicago-based interior designer Kent Allen Keisey is known for creating traditional, timeless interiors that are somewhat formal in nature, but with a relaxed quality. Learn more about Kent Allen Kiesey Interior Design here.

Original artwork created by Lori inspires the collection’s floral motif.

A guiding principle for the Samuel & Sons design team is that with each new collection, beyond creating beautiful trimmings of the highest quality, we introduce something new, something unique.
Harnessing years of experience, and a depth of technical knowledge that only a select few in this country possess, the level of innovation that we employ with each new collection is what sets Samuel & Sons apart.
New for fall, Aquitaine Fine Bullion Fringe is a fine branch bullion offered in a timeless range of colors.
Notice the intricate header with its rolled cord edge and linear border stripes.
The collection offers a palette of 17 colors including Gold and Silver, which combine matte and lustrous yarns.
Ajoutée Tiered Glass Fringe
Taking color cues from Venetian glass crafted on the island of Murano, an art form in practice for over 700 years, our new Ajoutée Tiered Glass Fringe combines silk threads with glass beads in a luxurious, hand-knotted tiered fringe.
Each bead is strung and individually knotted on silk hangers.
The hangers criss-cross over one another and suspend from a tailored header.
What better way to head into fall than armed with a luxurious collection of leather passementerie? Today marks the official launch of our Fall 2014 collections, delivering a new range of beading, bullion, tapes, tiebacks and cords that we will showcase on the blog in coming weeks. Among them, the Toscana Collection pairs the finest Italian leather with twenty-first century innovation.
We’ve sourced the finest Italian leathers from tanneries near Florence, transforming them into impeccably crafted appliqués, tassels, cords, fringe and embellished borders. The collection’s palette ranges from core black and chocolate tones to earthen midtones and lighter neutrals.
