Step inside the 2025 Flower Showhouse, where trimming takes root in every room. Explore how each space is brought to life with fringe that frames, tassels that flourish, and borders that unfurl, from pattern-drenched upholstery to statement-making drapery.

 

THE GUEST SUITE BY KIM SCODRO  

A bedroom in bloom. This cheerfully layered oasis is a wellspring of charming fringe and exuberant borders. 

 

 

Two lively slipper chairs are skirted with the MDS Check Border in Leaf by Mark D. Sikes. Its pattern is echoed above by gingham bolster pillows above, adorned on each edge by the Ilana Loop Fringe in Petal and MDS Embroidered Lattice Border in Willow.

Framing windowed doors, the Kensington Onion Tassel Fringe in Petal cascades down the leading edges of soft blush drapery. Sculptural pelmets above are outlined by the Bagatelle Cord in Bloom by Timothy Corrigan, punctuated on either side by the Bagatelle Key Tassel in Fern.

 

 

The silhouette of a star-shaped ottoman is accentuated by two rows of Normandy Silk Gimp in Endive, paired with a Bagatelle Tassel Skirt Fringe in Petal.

 

Seated across from a greenery-filled rattan desk, an abstracted lumbar pillow is outlined by the Ilana Cord in Petal. A coordinating Crete adorns its center, flanked by a matching Beaded Fringe.

 

 A floral bolster pillow on the bed is accented by the Aria Silk Brush Fringe in Patina on either end. The fringe appears again on the bedside table skirt, layered with a second skirt tier trimmed by the Cavallo Tassel Fringe in Willow.

 

At the foot of the bed, a petal pink bench is embellished by the Caitlin Tassel Fringe in Olive, while the Corsica Raffia Cord in Leaf creates a seamless upholstery finish.

 

 

THE LAUNDRY, SITTING AREA, & HALLWAYS BY MACKIN THOMPSON

Crowning this pattern-drenched sitting area, valence scallops are punctuated by Calisto Key Tassels in Coral. Drapery below features playful clusters of Calisto Triple Bead Fringe in Coral on leading edges. The fringe reappears on a generous, geranium red lampshade, transforming the table lamp into an eye-catching statement piece. Seat cushions on two soft blue slipper chairs are brought into focus by the Aria Silk Brush Fringe in Wedgewood.

 

At the center of the space, the Rouen Tassel Fringe in Magnolia skirts a tête-à-tête sofa, complemented by Délicat Silk Tassel Fringe-framed throw pillows in Coral. To the right, Calisto Key Tassels in Coral reappear on the back of each powder blue accent chair. Coral accents continue into the hallway outside, where the Calisto Tassel Tiebacks in Coral embellish two vases perched on a rattan console table.

 

THE TANGIER TENT BY MARK D. SIKES

Inspired by Mark D. Sikes’s travels to Morocco, the tented sitting room is a masterclass in rich contrast.⁣ 

 

Drapery is held back by the Bali Cotton Double Tassel Tieback in Cream, letting sunlight pour into the inviting salon. Within the striped fabric walls, loveseat cushions are contrasted with Flanders Border banding in Chalk. A matching Cord finishes each seam, a detail echoed on the armchairs for a tailored finish.⁣

 

 

Dining chair cushions are secured with the Bali Cotton Cord
in Cream, paired with coordinating Key Tassels to create

Above, the tented canopy is outlined in the same Cord, converging at the center to encircle the ceiling light's canopy.⁣

 

 

Brass floor lamps illuminate each seat, their white shades wrapped with Cambridge Strie Braid in Spring Green.

 

In the adjoining bar, the Braid reappears in two widths, framing an ivory Roman shade that mirrors the hand-painted linework of the high-gloss walls.⁣

 

 

THE SCREENED PORCH BY MARK KENNEMAR DESIGN

A spot to sit in the sun, a striped chaise features matching bolster and throw pillows, timelessly embellished with the MDS Rosette Fringe by Mark D. Sikes.

 

A subtle touch of color continuity, seat cushions framed with the Cambridge Cord in Paprika are elegantly secured by a coordinating Strie Braid, tied in a bow at each corner.

 

 

 

 

THE MUDROOM BY PARKES & LAMB

Pattern meets earthen polish in this tonal retreat. A slipcovered bench is skirted by the La Terre Cut Fringe in Pebble. Its botanical seat cushion is adorned at each corner with a single tassel from the Caitlin Tassel Fringe in Eggshell. Building on the room's organic touches, a La Terre Key Tassel in Flax hangs from the center of the relaxed Roman shade. A final touch of nuanced color, the San Marino Cord in Bronco tailors a patterned dog bed below the marble island countertop, a Performance finish designed to withstand a lifetime of dirty paws.
