OPENING PROTOCOL & PROCEDURES

You can rest assured that Samuel & Sons is following all recommended Government guidelines and Public Health recommendations by implementing the following procedures:

  • Employee temperatures are taken each morning.
  • Any employee displaying any signs of illness will be sent home immediately.
  • Door handles, work surfaces and computer equipment will be disinfected several times throughout the day.

NEW YORK SHOWROOM

  • Masks are required to be worn by both Customers and Employees
  • Hand Sanitizer to be used upon entry
  • Limit of 4 customers in the showroom at any time
  • Please leave handled product on a work station – only employees will replace after cleaning
  • Maintain a minimum of 6 feet between Customers and Employees
  • All Visitors/maintenance staff MUST sign the visitor log

Per UK Guidelines, our London showroom is currently closed to clients. Our team will continue to service customers remotely via live chat, phone, email, video conferencing and through our Concierge Service (available through the Support tab on our homepage) during normal business hours. Our shipping and distribution center remain fully operational.


BREXIT ANNOUNCEMENT

We are swiftly approaching the end of the Brexit transition. After December 31, 2020 all shipments from the UK into the EU will be subject to duties and taxes. If a UK customer is directing a shipment anywhere outside of the UK, Samuel & Sons will require a clear understanding of who will be responsible for the payment of duties and taxes at the point of order.

In the interest of avoiding delays in the customs clearance process, we will be requesting the VAT number, phone number, and the email address for the recipient/delivery address outside of the UK at the point of order.

Please be advised a VAT number is crucial in order to retain a seamless delivery outside of the UK. Shipments caught in a situation without a VAT number could possibly be delayed or returned to sender.

For all orders shipping within the UK there will be no changes to your orders or shipments.

Please note Samuel & Sons are closely monitoring all Brexit updates from the UK government and if a trade deal between the UK and EU is confirmed and implemented we will be able to advise further. Until then the above information relates to the scenario of a No Deal outcome.
