Spring Introductions: Cambridge Vol. II

New this spring, Cambridge Vol. II introduces an exciting array of colors with an emphasis on vibrant, saturated brights. Balancing the strength of Citron, Turquoise, Emerald and Magenta are sophisticated, ephemeral greys and matte metallics.

Design director Marisa Gutmacher shares her thoughts on the creation of Cambridge and the origins of her palette:

"Building on the success of the Cambridge I collection, the emphasis in Cambridge II was on color -- and lots of it: vivid, bold, bright and saturated yet sophisticated.  After evaluating various global color trend forecasts, we worked with our mill to develop the casts of dyes used to create brand-new yarn colors which went above and beyond what they currently carried in their vast range of stock colors.  Cambridge II forges new territory by introducing such a strong color statement."

"Colors such as Emerald, Pool, Tangelo, Azalea, Fuchsia, Citron, some of the purples, and subtle nuances of some of the new greys, may have been difficult to find in a 1/8" (2.5mm) cord or 1.5" (38mm) braid until now.  When we started seeing these kinds of colors emerging in the world of fabrics, we knew we needed to translate these colors into trimmings."
