Kids Room Ideas Designed to Stand the Test of Time

Whilst on the hunt for kids room ideas, we've come away with two valuable lessons worth noting, both of which can be seen throughout this collection of professionally designed nurseries and childrens bedrooms. First, consider elements that can grow with your child. Experienced parents and designers alike will tell you that it "goes by so fast," so best be prepared for changing needs and tastes. If you're a parent, you know this too well. In the blink of an eye they're off to school and you wonder where your baby has gone. Being mindful of the future when laying a foundation for their bedroom allows accessories and bedding to evolve as they seek to put their own mark on this personal space. While the crib may change to a bed, for instance, perhaps the armchair that once ushered them into dreamland will become a cozy spot for a budding bookworm. Second, don't neglect the details. Be it a playful pom pom or a soft Sloane velvet tape, a touch of trim can easily and beautifully unify design elements, from the ever-important blackout shade to upholstery and bedskirts—even lampshades—in these sweetest of spaces.

Many thanks for the interior designers featured below for graciously sharing their work and contributing to an inspiring collection of kids room ideas.
