Each medicine cabinet is handcrafted one at a time, using centuries-old woodworking and cabinetry techniques, just as Siri Eklund’s grandfather, Carl Eklund, once learned in Sweden. His legacy inspired the company’s name, Ättlingar, meaning “descendants” in Swedish. In the same spirit that we at Samuel & Sons continue on the legacy of passementerie, Eklund and Heeter are preserving an increasingly rare trade, for the future of interiors and the designers who shape them.

Another new colorway, Melon, sits opposite Sea Crest on the color wheel, a vibrant coral-inspired hue with sun-warmed undertones and energizing character.
