Tucked away in the Hollywood Hills, de Gournay’s private residence opened its doors this year in Los Angeles. The brand’s signature hand-painted wallcoverings and fabrics set the tone for decorative detail (big and small), from delicately trimmed draperies to bold, custom corded sofas.
A custom silk Orsay Cord in shades of terracotta defines the contemporary, channel-tufted banquette, which harmonizes with the Cambridge Strie Braid in Paprika that trims the hand-embroidered wallcovering.
The Cambridge Strie Braid in Paprika continues framing the room's architecture, accenting a grandiose, arched window. Verdant hues are complemented by the Torero Beaded Fringe in Jade, which creates an intriguing silhouette on the edge of an emboidered Roman shade.
Each space redefines the Southern California aesthetic, bringing artisan craft to the forefront. Details like the Dorset Velvet Scallop in Porcelain capture the property’s relaxed West Coast edge and, of course, its innate sense of chic.
adorns this plush banquette in a cheery Dijon colorway. Each cushion edge is accented by the The Sophie CollectionSophie Cord, which coordinates with the Sophie Bullion Fringe skirt.
Two more embroidered Roman shades are elevated by the Bali Cotton Fan Edge in Cream in a botanical vignette, and the Oberon Beaded Fringe in Antique Gold, which is the finishing touch on this vibrant bathroom.
