Coombe End Manor

Coombe End Manor, a 2000-acre private estate in the heart of the Cotswolds, recently opened its doors to be rented by those looking for the ultimate country escape. The Manor House’s initial structure dates back to the early 1500s but has been brought into the 21st century with bold color and vibrant details. Design duo Cath Beckett and Liv Wallers at Yellow London worked with the Samuel & Sons team to ensure every surface was trimmed, from exuberantly fringed swag curtains to a brilliant mix of cords and brush fringe on every pillow.

The manor's formal drawing room sets the tone with an abundance of brilliant details. Swiss Velvet Piping in Wedgewood draws out teal-toned greens from tropical throw pillows, which coordinate with the pelmets and drapery that embellish each window. These alternate with cheerful ocher pillows, each refined by the Venise Brush Fringe in Dark Rose, Apple, and Yellow. Two luxuriously deep lounge chairs complete the seating area, with the French Grosgrain Piping in Scarlet at each seam, blending effortlessly with the red line work of their upholstery.

Situated in the heart of the house, the Medieval banqueting hall is the perfect spot for entertaining. On either side of the room's windows, the Margaux Tassel Fringe in Forêt cascades down each leading edge. The drapery is styled beautifully to match the dining chairs' upholstery, with a coordinating palette completed by The Amboise Épinglé Border in Forest on the bottom edge of each seat.

At the end of its lengthy table, a small seating area sits in front of an enormous fireplace. Monochromatic, mirrored sofas are skirted by the lustrous Rouen Tassel Fringe in Tourmaline. Each floral throw pillow is framed by the Annecy Brush Fringe in Ecru, Olive, and Light Blue, which transitions beautifully between the pattern's cream ground and the sofa's slate blue fabric. Julienne Piping in Ocher finishes the edge of the central ottoman's patterned upholstery, creating beautiful definition between its two fabrics.

Rounding the scenic stairway, a sea of blue details adorn an oversized window's swags and tails — a traditional silhouette made modern by its bright, contrasting silks.

Yellow London turned to The Veronique Collection, pairing the Fine Bullion Fringe on the edge of each swag and the Tassel Fringe on each leading edge, held back by two Double Tassel Tiebacks in Porcelain. The ruched pelmet above is framed the Aurelia Cord in Aquamarine, accented by three coordinating Rosettes.

The primary bedroom's headboard is crowned by The Strata Marabout in Tea Leaf, adding an invitingly plush detail to its silhouette. A rouge throw pillow pops in the foreground with its Harbour Linen Brush Fringe edge in Aqua. Soft coral accents are created in the South Bedroom by the French Grosgrain Ribbon and Piping in Salmon on each throw pillow.
